Whether you realise it or not, throughout the day you are most likely asking yourself questions. These may largely be unconscious but they are there.
Why didn’t I get the promotion? Why did my girlfriend leave me? Why am I not confident? Why aren’t I getting the success I want in life? I wonder how tasty that chocolate is going to be?
And on, and on.
And a lot of the time these questions might not be empowering.
And the thing is this. That our mind works a little like Google does. You type in some question into the search bar, and your brain goes off and gets you the answer?
So instead of asking “why do I have to go to the gym?” or “why don’t men have to put on make up to leave the house?”, re-direct those questions to something else.
For example, if your aim is to get fitter and healthier (like many people right now), start asking a better question. So when you see that enticing donut ask
“Would eating this donut lead me towards or away from my goal?”
Or instead of asking “why didn’t I get the promotion?”, ask “what do I need to do in order to position myself in the best possible way for a promotion or even getting a new and better job?”
Instead of “why is my ex becoming more successful than I?” Ask, “What can I do to help me attract more success into my life?”
I think you get the picture. Questions are the answer! You’ve heard it before but ask a better question, get a better answer.
